It's ancient charging tech and it heats up phone a lot more than those higher Watt chargers consequently leading to higher battery degradation.
Your regular batteries can't handle 120W or 200W, they are slightly modified to make them capable of handling that much power. These batteries have much higher charge cycles than cheap batteries inside phones with 20W-25W chargers.
Your calculation is omitting a lot of factors and is completely unreliable.

I've used multiple phones in the past which I've maintained with 10w charge but ended up messing up its retention capacity after 2yrs. So, I made my deduction from it.

T... moreAs far as i know, RealMe 60W charging is essentially the same with Xiaomi current 30W.
Difference being RealMe split the battery into two and charge them each at 30W, hence the 60W.
With that in mind, Battery degradation rate should be the same.
Xiaomi 200W have 9.1% degradation/year or 365 charge,
Lets say 30W have at most 5% per year max. with that, you'll lost 15% battery capacity in three years. Which then you could switch to new phone as at that point the phone is no longer receiving updates.
or on that time the battery degraded, just switch the battery as in my place it only cost around $30.
paying $30 upkeep per three year for full charge in under an hour or use the old standard of 2 and half hour charging time? i'll pay $30.

You don't have to charge your phone with 120W charger every time. 90% of the people who buy this phone will probably have access to a slower charger already. You are free to charge your phone slower if you want to. 120W gives you the option if you ever needed it in an emergency situation or whatever.

The only thing that is swelling is your envy... As no name brands like Realme giving luxury charging on their budget phones while brands ( that you think who still care about your battery) are milking profits by dumping old charging tech and using cheaper batteries that do degrade faster with outdated 18W charging.

Xiaomi publicized internal testing on 200W charging cause 9.12% degradation per year if you charge it once per day.
So the current 120W charger should be under that, not sure how much.
Also to note the old Qnovo certification target is at under 5% degradation per year. Sony apparently ditch that certification when they start to offer 30W charger.
