iPhones are not luxury, but they aren't overpriced either. If you buy iPhone you're guaranteed to have a great experience. With Android phones, only absolute top of the line models can guarantee you that. Anything below is a hit or miss most of the time.

    Very ignorant of you to assume that Android phones can only sell if they are cheap. I have been buying only the flagship droid phones since the past six years and they are clearly NOT cheap phones. So yeah, not everyone Android phones buys just for the low prices

    Always remember this - iPhone isn't luxury, it's just overpriced

                  Everytime when new Android version comes, web is full of Android users who are complaining why my under 2 years old phone isn't getting this. And they also complain the timeline when it comes. can bet money that this same is again happening with newest Android 12.

There are some billion Android devices that are out of date by several years and people store their spicy photos and do banking on them. And given how garbage updating is on Android phones unless you have a higher tier Samsung or Pixel phone, people don't even expect it. And then we have the other extreme the likes of people here who are aware of updates yet they literally defend their absence. That's what's even baffling. Instead of demanding phone makers to do better and not offer just 1 useless year of updates or intentionally skip monthly updates like so many do, you defend their laziness by saying "we don't need updates". And they gladly obey your "wish".

                            Not in Android world because it hardly ever happens :D and if it does it takes like half year and by then everyone forgot the update already. As iOS users we like our devices to learn new tricks, it gives new value for your old device and it feels like you got lot value for the price. And also when update is available, everyone can install it right away and no need to wonder when it's coming to my device

                            Newest great feature in iOS 15.1 is shareplay

                            Also there was just research which asked biggest reasons for Android user to switch iOS and longer software support were biggest reason. So don't try to to act like people don't care.

In everyday usage, no one really cares about the latest software update. Still using my Galaxy S7 as my secondary phone and still working fine except had to replace its 5-year old battery. I have also iPhone, sure they have longer software support and have better optimization but you can't do more to it, it has limitations and restrictions. You can't even download apps outside the App Store and still need to jailbreak it just to download it. In Android, you can use a third party app store easily.

                                  It's not laziness, it's business, Android companies doesn't have any benefits from you keep using your old phone, they want to sell you new phone as fast as possible, because it's the business they do, unlike Apple who does money no matter if you upgrade to newer model or keep your old one. That's why Apple is giving so long support because they know if they keep users happy, very likely when it's time users upgrade to another iPhone.

                                  But like the sales of higher priced Android phones shows, Android people are sick of this horrible upgrade policy. That's why Android OEMs are slowly offering longer support, they can't afford losing users anymore.

                                        Every time Apple comes with different features and functionality, really excited this time to see some updates.
