There is a reason why Gsmarena lists it as a con.
It's all about flexibility. Locked restricted mess will always remain beneath the Android offering.
Android file management just works!!! And works flawlessly for basic user as well as advanced user. So user friendly and, so polished, no extra software needed.

i0S.- Never.- Again, 28 Oct 2021Tons of bugs rolled out with each iOS update has been a sta... moreNot new at all. Been in the story since the iPhone 4. I have experienced quite a few bugs over the years, some of them quite large. I still remember how pissed of I was after iOS 13 update killed my email sync and it didn´t get fixed until 2 or 3 incremental updates later. It made me carry an Android phone as a backup because some of my work emails were time crititcal and I couldn´t wait for hours until they show up in my iPhone´s inbox.

But I guess what pissed me off the most is that iOS15 introduced a long list of bugs (in my case at least), and while 15.0.1 solved some, 15.1 has squashed most while introducing a whole new list of bugs of its own.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2021My bad. What i wanted to say is android like file manager c... moreFile manager is pretty capable now and I don't really see any difference between it and Android. You don't get system level access to files and it's done more user friendly, because Android just tosses you whole phone's root of folders of which 99% of them are useless to users who usually just look for DCIM...

What exactly are you looking for in a calculator? It has % which I need most often to calculate discounts which some calculators actually don't have. For scientific functionality you need to just put phone in landscape position. But that's probably already very niche functionality.

Big IF you use there, especially since this a company that refuses to listen to it's own customers on a frequent basis (at least those who dont consider the walled garden a slice of paradise).

And Absolutely. A win over big data's anti consumer ideas is something that will be for the history books. Are you and other apple fangurls really against safeguarding our own data or something? Rather rich for you to draw such anti-privacy arguments IN an article speaking about privacy reports.

Which happens like never anyways since they don't release much of anything. Samsung and Google are the only ones actually releasing anything to existing users. The rest just throw few non descriptive "updates" at users so they don't complain much and that's it. If all you do is roll out bugfixes for the base OS phone came with from the factory, it's hard to break anything. Where Apple released a lot of iOS 15 features to iPhone 6s users. Show me one Android phone from 2015 that got (or will get) latest Android 12. I'll wait. Of course things break then when you introduce huge changes to the OS.

has anybody manged to access the backdoor yet?

YaroslawTheGoat, 28 Oct 2021The frequency of iOS updates is becoming ridiculous, and so... moreTons of bugs rolled out with each iOS update has been a standard feature on iOS since the past few years. You must be new....

They should just take their time and fix all bugs before dumping beta level updates onto the public. In this race of delivering updates on time, they are rolling out beta level software.

I love how Android manufacturers take their own sweet time and roll out updates only after majority of the bugs have been fixed. A few companies might be outliers though.

This is why people who are obsessed with having latest updates on their phone and brag about that being the case on iOS are actually forced to use buggy software under the label of latest version. Worst part is that apps stop working unless you keep upgrading to the latest iOS version.
This is where Android shines, even phones which have stopped getting updates for years are still working flawlessly without any bugs.

                                "...implemented yet..."

That's the problem when the echo chamber is filled with yes men and flunkies who do not dare question the judgement of narrow visioned so-called leaders. If there wasn't such an open backlash and even amongst their own employees, iOS 15 would have been rolling out with the spyware hardcoded into each device. It's too bad, that because of the low IQ camp followers' still vocal support, this "feature" has only been delayed and not fully terminated.

But keep chilling out when the leaderless clown car drives off the cliff m8.
