All the paid Apple shills, who lied about the S21 Ultra, which is the best phone with the best cameras, couldn't do anything to Samsung, whatsoever! Pathetic shills!

It's not eating into the display, it's display wrapping around it to form those "horns" where status icons reside, creating EXTRA space. Call it semantics, but whole purpose of the notch is literally that, to create extra space for status icons so they don't have to take up a strip of display that could be used for actual viewed content.

All the apps that extend into the horns and under the notch are frankly terrible design as they were never meant to do that as it's entirely counter productive and just plain stupid.

Ofc, they are the look a like Apple/Android brand nowadays 😳

It doesn't stick out any more than a punch hole which is literally a hole in the middle of screen used by everyone else. Notch just gives permanent status icons space where they reside without taking away a single pixel of main display area. With punch hole, they literally moved main display area around the punch hole. If iOS used same status icons as Android does, that would be a problem, but it doesn't since the beginning so it's really a non issue.

There are in-display fingerprint sensors, both optical and ultrasonics which are just as secure, and BTW they are much better looking (in the meaning that one can't even look where it is) unlike the notch that literally sticks out like an eyesore every time saying "hello! I'm here look at me" when one unlocks there phone. Like, no one ever asked for that. It was quite a feature back then in 2017 but this is not that year anymore. it just looks real bad

And they don't ever skip any monthly security updates like so many. In fact they often push them to users before Google does to Pixel users. Just that alone makes A52s anything but overrated and overpriced. It actually has very decent specs and with such level of software support it's above 99% of junk that's flooding the market that has next to no software support with vendors who just blatantly skipping monthly security updates.

That doesnt mean sales to final costumer, this only represent the sales to retailers and so on, not final user.

There's no surprise that high profit because they launch a bunch of devices, do SoC's and etc.

An A52 at 400+ bucks with mid range specs, when you came buy a Poco F3 for less than 320 with almost high end specs.

Those comparisons just prove Samsung are overated and overpriced (like Apple). Period.

It's almost as if you don't understand the purpose of a notch... As for complaining over 60Hz, who cares? When 60Hz is so fluent and without any stuttering or lagging, why would I care about higher refresh? Even reviewers just rub settings menu and one web page in browser up and down and talk how orgasmic smooth it is. Well, great. Is that all you do with those 90 or 120Hz? Rub it up and down for 5 seconds? I don't care if text is slightly soft while scrolling for as long as it's not really ghosting horribly and the scrolling lags and stutters through entire motion. Which just isn't the case even on my old XR. It's still so smooth I just don't care. Eventually all iPhones will get it and then I'll just accept it. Or probably even lock it back to 60Hz to extend battery life if they won't all be LTPO's (which is probably how it'll be).
