And that's solely the reason why it flopped. Why else are vanilla models generally most sold models? That also applies to Apple and their base iPhone models (not the SE or Pro/Max). Those always sell the best. This was the first time Samsung put plastic back on a flagship range after so many years having glass.

Something Android people just can't understand.

            [deleted post]Apple last Q alone sold 57% of over $400 phones, it just tells everything, Android high-end phones are in very low demand. It has to do lot with Android, honestly hardware wise Android high-end phones aren't that bad, but messy and unpolished android experience just doesn't meet the value of asking price.

            Android phones are great in $100-200 range where no-one really cares much what they get as they just buy what is available.

                        Best is subjective, but clearly Apple offers best overall experience for most who want to have something better. While Android high-end phone sales are down year after year, IPhone sales are sky high.

                        No matter how much you try to deny it, Apple just offer unbeatable overall packet and it shows better and better year after year. Like the survey said there isn't relevant rivals for iPhone 13 series on the market currently.

                            Dr.Timothy , 02 Nov 2021Demand for tablets/laptops in general has increased in the ... moreThe problem of Android tablets aren't its hardware, but rather its app availability that optimized for tablet. iPad is an ultimate go to tablet for years and one of the reason is because their 3rd parties are very optimized for tablet experience.

                            However, the Android 12L release is a nice first step for Google to cared more about Android tablets. Just hope that it wouldn't ended up the same as Honeycomb.

                                    Say better phone hardware wise than 13 Pro Max? Fastest chip, best screen/brightest, around best speakers, best video cam, among best still cam. By far best battery life. Most premium feel phone and most durable.

                                    Sorry there isn't better phone, just like survey said, iPhone 13 series is selling so well because there isn't relevant rivals on the market.

                                        Apple shipped an estimated 14.7 million iPad units in the third quarter, up from 14 million units in Q3 2020. The number marks 4.6% year-over-year growth in iPad shipments, and has netted Apple a larger 34.6% share of the tablet market.

                                        The Cupertino tech giant is the biggest global tablet market by a large margin. Behind Apple's 34.6% market share is Samsung with 17.7%. Amazon comes in third with 11.1%. Samsung and Amazon tablet shipments declined 11.1% and 13.3% year-over-year."
