Samsung will reportedly unveil an entry-level 5nm chipset next week

It won't be a successor to the Exynos 1080 as that was a mid-range chipset. This could become the first 5nm entry-level chip.

1.Their chipsets is not that behinde of Qualqomm's overall and sometimes was better!
2. If they dont offer their chips Qualqomm will dominate market and it will leat to kind of monopoly on chipset market.
I think after google, other companies like Oppo are going to join Samsung in chipset market making their own chipsets.

I ... moremost leakers were already in a consensus that nearly all the A series phones(except A03s with P35 and A13 with D700) will use the exynos chips because they will all get AMD GPUs (2core for budget, 4 core for midrange, 6 core for S22 series and future flagships)

      Exynos cpu are useless and heat issue and battery drain issue.

          I hope Samsung will use it in A23 or A33 alike phones.
          I freaking hate those 12nm Mediatek SoC. The GPU power is still weaker than 4 year old Exynos 9610.

                  Even in their own home country South Korea they won't use their own in-house Exynos chipsets in their phones - they use Snapdragon and instead sell their garbage to Europe and other countries.

                    Nooo...dont create trash again...it was okay giving snapdragon or mediatek

                                    An Exynos 1080 is not a mid-range chip, not even close, it slightly out-manoeuvres the so called Flagship SoC, The Google Tensor.

                                    The 1080 is comfortably in the High-End bracket next to the likes of Dimensity 1000/1100 Chipsets.
