And getting ur phone cracked vs getting ur phone scratches is also an opinion. And no there are silicone cases which scratch way less than plastic (although just a little bit more than glass) btw alot of phones with plastic also have matte back and nto the glossy and flashy ones.

Plastic feels cheap in hands and is about as durable too. It scratches if you just look at it wrong and because they all have fancy rainbow colors they look like absolute vomit after a while when edges wear off and base plastic color underneath starts poking out. And to this argument people always throw "but you use case anyway". Well, maybe I don't want to or I don't want to put more plastic crap on existing plastic. Where's logic in that!? And the argument gets especially old when there is extensive use of plastic on phones that cost 800€ and beyond. Pixel 5's goo covering aluminium body was ridiculous. It looked and felt like someone made a phone out of metala nd then dipped it into some ugly tone of Plastidip. It looked horrendous.

While burn test is useless to most, I'm amazed how only iPhones and I think it was some other non iPhone model too that wasn't affected by flame at all. All phones with OLED/S-AMOLED displays go black, white or yellow in Pixel 6 case with flame, but iPhones and that other phone can just be burned for ages and just nothing happens. I think the other phone I can't remember which it was exactly did get affected, but OLED there actually recovered back to normal state somehow and damage wasn't permanent. Anyone remembers which one it was?
Anyway, I think Pixel 6 Pro did really well and I'm glad that goo covering the phone is gone. I always thought that material choice was stupid. Making fancy metal case and then squirting some goo all over it. Why!?
