Some people here compare the launch prices of phones in China with prices of phones in other markets which are priced in different currencies where all phones are priced 30-50% higher. For example the recently launched mi note 11 pro. I've seen people say it's so much cheaper than the competition because they are comparing it with phones priced differently in their own markets. Of course that is the case but that is the same for most midrange Chinese phones. In reality this phone is only sold in China and it is not cheaper than the competition within China. Price comparisons across countries are meaningless unless you are comparing the price of the same phone in different markets

It not the only international, but most central reserve banks have around 60% USD, 20% Euro ,and the remains in Gold and other currencies.
China itself holds 1.3 Trillion USD in its bank.
They were talking about currency swap with Euro but that never materialized.

Is it a Chinese price converted, is it a European price converted, is it an Indian price or maybe it's a Malaysian price. If the country is not specified it's meaningless for comparison. Phone prices in China should be compared against other phones in China, the same for India, the Uk, America etc. I live in China btw so more interested in Chinese prices than European ones

but the majority of the commenters are from europe anyway, so they tend to use euros a lot for prices (i'm talking about you)

These phoned will be completely different prices in different countries. How does anyone know which country you are referring to with this $ price. Better use the actual currency of the country you are referring to or the price makes little sense.

Android OEM's are adding new features and price is going up only in time cause it's normal that things get more expensive in the future so step by step it gets higher but overall still be cheaper then apple. Well Android also have brand names that sell there devices with brand price like Samsung, Sony, Oneplus, Asus, Huawei and so on

You can get something 50W charger and it be still quick enough. Never mind that you dont charge 20 years old battery technology that would last few charging only if even that

Fantastic news. Exactly what the 12 needs over the 11. Slight incremental updates across the board. Better camera, faster charging ect ect.
