Not only it consumes a lot more battery juice, but it can also suffer from burn-in. I'm yet to see any issues relating to burn-in in LCD screens. Let me put it this way: Why do gaming monitors still use LCD panels despite the rising popularity of AMOLED panels? Surely they can just make a bunch of them, can they? There are reasons why you never see AMOLED panels beyond smartphones.
It is because making huge high refresh rate QHD/4k amoled panels is expensive AF. Amoleds have better pixel response times, so they are by default better choice for gaming if budget permits... Unfortunately (or fortunately) no one is buying 1000-1500$ monitors. OLED's have started taking over TV's gaming monitors aren't that far off

If I wanted a work tablet I would have bought a ... laptop. Tablets are for media consumption and using LCD in 2021 is a grave mistake that immediately disqualifies you. I dunno who buys ipads really. Most of them are better off w MacBooks and the rest w AMOLED based tabs.

The reason is that Samsung will launch the Tab S8 series with Android 12 and OneUI 4.0 out of the box. By contrast, the Tab S7 and Tab S7+ were launched with Android 10 and OneUI 2.0 out of the box. Even with the guaranteed three year OS update policy, the Tab S7 and Tab S7+ will only get up to Android 13, whereas the Tab S8 series will get up to Android 15.

Dolphin emulator is also real world, genshin impact is also real world. Ipad is way ahead of any androids in these. Everything other than benchmarks is a 'real world performance'. You dont just decide what is real world according to your biases.

So many video editing applications are only optimized for Android where a oneplus 7t is beating a14/a15 chip. That's real world performance.

Years of developement and still worse at it only means its a limitation of the android soc. And we even have performance focused hacky builds of dolphin on android, those dont come close to the ipad running dolphin either.

The entry level iPad is better than even the most expensive "pro" Android tablet.. It's all about the apps you get on the iPad that they do not exist on Android. The ones that exist on Android are really second rate most of them. Don't waste money on Android tablets. If you want something cheap it's better to get a second hand iPad.

There are plenty of apps that are only optimized on Android, not on ios or iPad OS where your iPad Mini will struggle behind the Pixel series.

Biased Geekbench benchmarks don't count.
The Intel and AMD chips score less on Geekbench yet give performance that is miles ahead of a15 gimmick. Geekbench is far from being a cross platform Benchmark.
In the real world, SOC alone doesn't determine performance.
So many laptops with RTX 3070 and higher TDP are giving better performance than RTX 3080 with lower TDP.
