Anonymous, 08 Nov 2021But will be 2022 chips ARMv9 based?ARMv9 add things like CCA and SVE2. None of those things are relevant to Apple silicon since they already have them in the form of Secure Enclave, Neural Engine, and their GPU. Apple will eventually move over to it but the benefits it offers they already have, so its not a pressing issue for them.

no surprise because the M1 is based on the A14 core designs which is made on the N5 node so M2 will be based on the A15 designs fabbed on N5P. But I'm skeptical that they don't simply push back the release the M3 Macs a bit so that TSMC can start HVM of N3 or that they don't switch to N4/N4P because it doesn't change the design rules.

Apple will start churning out servers with their 40+ cpu chips. That's where the real money is. Then maybe start producing super computers. They should continue to dominate until quantum computing takes over.

Video edition (to apply extra EIS, crop, colour gradation etc) requires lots of power. Mainly higher resolution like 6K and above.
No way you can do it with current core i7 and 8GB ram computer.

I thought XPS was the flagship 💻 from Dell.
But they have another above it.
Extremely priced if you choose Xeon processor.
Can easily pass $10.000 with many goodies (software).

Anyone who's gonna spend that much money on products expect it to be best in every category. Mac OS not running games is missed opportunity. Why buy product for only productivity while others are giving less price product with both productivity and gaming.

The problem with this is the prices are definitely more expensive than any laptop or pc. And there is no point in making a chip so fast for a laptop that is mainly used for productivity. People will buy regular laptop or pc around 500 more or less but not more than 1000 if they want it for regular use. Gamers on the other hand will definitely buy a gaming pc not a laptop.
