Oh it's to make the phone slimmer they said! It's to make the phone waterproof they said! There are TONS of smartphone that still have 3.5mm jack that are considerably slim AND waterproof (for ex. Samsung A52 & A72). It's just a business tactic to slightly reduce cost production & sell their own branded tws or bluetooth audio devices.

Here's my speculation: A53 5G will have not one, not two but FOUR 3.5mm jacks!
If someone speculates they will be gone, someone else can speculate there will be more of them! For the fun of the process! xD

I'm glad I bought the A52s. One of the last powerful midrangers with a headphone jack.

I hope they put the newer and better chip in it. Otherwise the A52s will be a better preposition

But yeah, if a phone doesn't have an sd card, i look the other way, no exceptions. This is the main reason i decided to get the S20 instead of 21 back in April (as well as the downgrade in screen quality)

I heard that there is also a display lottery and that there can be a green tint to the display.
However, If that phone included a headphone jack and a Micro SD, I would've bought it in a heartbeat.

I was willing to spend more money for the headphone Jack and expandable storage, but now that samsung removed them, their software and reliability is their only upside for me.
Of course I wouldnt buy a phone without expandable storage or headphone Jack, but now this takes away 2 good reasons to get a Samsung instead of something like a poco F3 (heard it's a software nightmare), but nice going Samsung. Hopefully you innovate or re-add features to one ui like hardware battery usage (WiFi, screen, cellular, etc), or I will vote with with my wallet and buy from a different brand.

Very odd move by Samsung, ditching the headphone jack of the A series.

The reason is that the adaptor is easy to lose and damage. And when we can have 1st party solution (headphone jack in the phone), why would we settle for other solutions ( usb-c to 3.5mm ) ??

It also adds something else to carry when you switch to a device with a headphone Jack and makes 90 degree jacks useless while the phone is in your pocket. Oh yeah, no radio support either unless you can already do that with USB-C
