Oppo Reno7 trio detailed, Pro is allegedly getting Snapdragon 778G, the Pro+ Dimensity 1200-Max

09 November 2021
And the vanilla model a Dimensity 900. All three will have 90Hz displays and 4,500mAh batteries. But some of the leaks contradict each other.

For those people complaining about how MTK sucks and they'll never use MTK or Exynos, etc.-it's always a cycle, no one can remain on top 4ever unless it's a monopoly (i.e no free market).
I like to think of MTK like AMD and their G & Dimensity lines as Ryzen. It took AMD a few years to catch up and beat Intel's top dog overall ,b4 they were just cheaper & provided better nC performance, similar situation with MTK, just look at how the G90T, G80, etc and especially the Dim.800U/820, 1000/+, 1200, etc did. They undercut the competition while providing on par or better efficiency and in many cases better performance as well. Sure they are nowhere close to the 888, but give them another year or two and you might be surprised.
I myself am using a Dim1200 phone and it uses the latest (at time of launch) A78 cores, and apart from using the older G77 cores (am a bit sad about it as the older Dim1000 also used the exact same GPU config & the newer G78 like in the Exynos 1080 would've been slightly better), it's still a very capable GPU. And it isn't a heater either, it doesn't get warm while playing Grid or CoD, BGMI on max framerate, it only gets warm while plating something more intensive like Sky. I'm guessing over 80-85% people either don't know or couldn't care less about custom ROM support or "worse" game optimisations/drivers, etc.
If you need any indication of how good MTK chips are these days, just use a Dim800U or 1200 phone, or if you have sworn that u wont, then u can't deny the huge uptick in performance of the SD-7xx series chips like the 778/780G, they have on par or better CPUs than previous 8xx chips but worse GPUs (Adreno 642L

nanagdad, 10 Nov 2021Why do you think Oppo produced the reno6 pro 5G (Snapdragon... moreyou know, some cpus are for different markets for example their Antenna support, also its chip shortage, they have to divide CPUs same model or other models and normal people who aren't enthusiast like you, dont care about Specs or doesnt even know. And ok, just stay with your Snapdragon phone made by tsmc.

Why do you think Oppo produced the reno6 pro 5G (Snapdragon) version too when they already have the reno6 pro 5G with Mediatek? The snapdragon version is for people like me who have vowed never to Mediatek or anything Samsung cpu chips like Exynos & 888

Samsung should continue producing OLED panels & RAM chips they're good at that not CPUs, leave that to Qualcomm & TSMC. You cannot be good at everything. BBK are good at batteries, Google Software optimization, Sony cameras, Meizu innovation & Xiaomi copying.

I can never waste my money to buy a phone with Mediatek, Exynos or Exynos rebrand like Tensor. Any of these chips is a deal breaker for me & also Qualcomm chips using Samsung manufacturing process like 888 Never. Only Qualcomm chips produced by TSMC & as far as I'm concerned 870 is the last flagship chip produced by TSMC eager to see what it'll produce next.

                        LOL BBK.

Judging the render of OP10 Pro, it seems to have the very tiny 3MP like Find X3.
Worst part, cam bump connected to frame like S21 series.

But let's see how things turn out in 2021 with their best attempt yet

Plus Seeing that mediatek has made proper effort this year and has better supply chain than Qualcomm this year

This is another plus for mediatek

cant talk about all things but for sure untill today mediatek is no where near Qualcomm when it come to graphics, at same power adreno will perform better than Mali in mediatek, most camera centric phones use exynos or Qualcomm, never saw any evidence of mediatek prowess in display etc

It sweeten the pot for OEMS to always want to use their chipset
