Weekly poll: the Poco M4 Pro 5G is more capable, but more expensive too - is it worth it?

12 November 2021
It comes six months after the M3 Pro 5G and it costs €30 more. It brings a number of hardware improvements, though.

Dudenoway, 14 Nov 2021As expected the haters got even more excuses to say no. Alt... moreIt's no matter of hate. It's trash. Simple as. Mediatek is a paper champ trash company that makes trash socs and no one in their right minds wants to pay top bucks for a mediatek phone, that is why they thrive only in the ultra budget and no name brand phones, where their performance and reliability reflects their pricing.

The new Dimensity chipset does sound interesting, but custom ROM development for Mediatek-powered smartphones isn't really as popular as Qualcomm-powered smartphones. What I will do instead is buy a Poco X3 Pro and flash a custom ROM in it.

In my opinion SD should be oneway

As expected the haters got even more excuses to say no. Although even some fans siad no. I mean for a 50£ increase (without the discount) its quite expensive but they should only consider the budget 5g segment. If only it had a slightly more impressive chip (like with 120 hz and maybe a better main cam (the Jn1 isn't that good enough compared to any 64mp gw1 sensor). So these small improvements and maybe 20£ cheaper will make it easily the cream of the crop.

MilesPrower1, 14 Nov 2021dimensity 810 isnt bad its just the camera and pricingIn AnTuTu 9 benchmarks, Dimensity 810 is 14% better than Dimesity 700 and 4% better than the SD765.

Although this is not a huge upgrade for the money, its price could drop after a couple of months.

[deleted post]It's not overpriced. And ahh yes you look at ur phones back 24/7 since that's where the display is right?

more expensive ??

this is one of the mooost affordable and capable phones right now
