Huawei was using FirstBeat metrics that are now owned by Garmin, and you can be sure that Garmin is not going to sell or license to Huawei the latest metrics, maybe only the basic ones that are not enough today for offer a complete solution monitoring the health and training as a whole integrated solution.

So let's see how can Huawei offer but i watch it like now, more a watch for health monitoring with their own software plus some basic training but not capable of be a tool for serious training.

huawei watch battery lasts for 2 weeks, compared to apple and garmin, they are way superior. Sensors are accurate and you can also export your gpx file with apps like health sync...not to mention that app health is way better looking than garmin's connect...so yes, i do understand why would someone buy this over gamin or apple...plus the price is better

"The Huawei Watch GT Runner is aimed at professional runners" - With fake GPS track and inferior HR sensor, without external sensor support and without the ability the export workout data easily - good luck with that

first thing's first.it has to have an AOD that last for at least 4-5 days.garmin has 6-8 days of AOD battery life with their signature translective display tech. in addition,12-15hrs of GPS or 5-6hrs of GPS/music(spotify,youtube music) combined usage must be provided on a single charge. then it has to have accurate HR reading on a sweaty skin(even under rain) and proper elevation/distance measurement. watch must be compatible with 3rd party cheststraps. it also better provide a NFC payment system that is avaliable in 15-20 countries. finally,it must cost less than $230 doing all these. for an upper price range, competing with garmin is not possible at all. good luck.

All Huawei watches so far suffer from inaccurate sensors, including fairly poor heart rate accuracy under load. Why would anyone buy this over Garmin or Apple is beyond me.
