sq2013, 12 Nov 2021Lol, for all you know, the buyer could be a lottery winner ... moreThe way I see it is, by buying this phone at that price, someone is really encouraging this young lad to do more such innovative projects and be better at what he does. May be we are gonna see something really amazing when this type of projects are appreciated by people like this.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2021Really strange. Who will buy it? Nobody.except, someone already bought it. weird isn't it.

Great his got skillz, but i wouldn't given them $5 for it.

It depends on the knowledge of the person in that field.

Random P, 13 Nov 2021and if apple doesn't switch to USB-C he might sell it ... moreIt won't be the one and only, since the creator announced that he is planning to extend the project to other iPhone. But it will always be the very first...

Wkk, 13 Nov 2021Yeah, sell for 86k aprox. but keep in mind that half of bid... moreWhat if this project was approved by Apple itself?
To create hype,to make sure people don't say Apple you are too late to USB C.

I'll buy one for £200k if he can also put a 3.5mm jack in it.

If it was gold or something else, it would be great.
Heck even if it was a samsung running iOS, it would be collectible but this is just something which is not revolutionary

I guess it was way more cheaper if hy pay someone în China to do that. There are mana who can do that.

Yeah, sell for 86k aprox. but keep in mind that half of bids are "ghost" bids from fake accounts just to increase hype and inflation.

Thays why someone (maybe) buy that thing...in the end we will discover who have purchase the thing was Apple itself. 🤣

Just think of chocolate! Think how useless it is in essence! And still people buy it, use it, enjoy it, spend millions on it improv it, shipping it and, you know... TALKING about it... Sooo, a unic piece of tech, improved (almost literally) by the micron... Sounds, you know, kiiiinda interesting...
Stop talking about the cost and the money and how domb it is and star be amazed by the power of engeneering. It is a tech topic, right!?

Imagine the price of iphone 12 with usb C, earphone jack and sd card slot

This item is a collectible and the buyer is a collector. He didn't pay 86k for it's material value nor for its functionality. People pay millions for a work of art or a piece of history. If Apple ever does switch to usb-c then this is a piece of history and I wouldn't be surprised if he resells it at a higher value...

NICE, he should keep selling the type c phones and make money until Tim Cook add the type c
