iPhone12, 17 Nov 2021people can wait for 3 hours as fast charging damage battery... moreFast charging doesn't damage the battery enough to warrant wainting 3 hours every other day for 3 or more years (unless you only charge during sleep).

I have op9 with 65w charging. I can literally get off my bed and charge my phone while eating and dressing up. My phone will fully charged then. Very convenient. I always welcome improvement upon the current tech we have today

kek, 13 Nov 2021Honestly, for as much money they put into this, they should... moreI think Oppo puts a lot of R&D into this, they already use EV like solutions on their phones with 65W VOOC lol

Iloveslowcharging, 15 Nov 202110w is more than enough for most of u and it is still plent... moreWtf, 10W takes almost 3 hours to full charge a 4500mah battery, I want quad batteries and 120W charger, yes, Oppo VOOC tech is superior, has always been, 65W split in two batteries of their today's tech barely heats the device, very efficient.

kanaaka, 13 Nov 2021rather than slapping 7000mAh on smartphone, i'd rather... morePlenty of those available today. You can always buy one with a 4500mah battery instead, while the others like me have a choice, and that's large batteries with insanely fast charging.

The unknown N branded oppo phonw will surely be the Neo

Iloveslowcharging, 15 Nov 202110w is more than enough for most of u and it is still plent... moreNo it's not, 10W charging feels like a decade old experience.
You apple users should Invest your money in the android ecosystem to avail the benefits of truly modern technology like 100W charging.

Mmm, 15 Nov 2021Fast charging is simply not needed. Who cares? Most people ... more10w is more than enough for most of u and it is still plenty fast in 2021 standard

                        125W???
                        I want at least 200W.

Fast charging is simply not needed. Who cares? Most people sleep at least few hours a day and phone can charge in the time.

This is solution in search of a problem.

who even wants any of this? stuffing in unnecessary cameras to jack up the price, overly powerful hardware to make up for the culture of no longer optimizing apps in the slightest since flagships can barrel through the bad code (flagships run about as well as a galaxy nexus when it came out lmao). and now there's super fast charging that destroys batteries in half the time (that nobody can replace thanks to anti-repair garbage). honestly not a single phone manufacturer deserves a single sale of any phone that's come out in the past few years. Don't even get me started on reintroducing normal features like an aux jack as a "premium" feature.

808, 13 Nov 2021Chinese brands use fast charging gimick to make sales. Now ... moreThat's like saying the fastest processor inside modern phones is all a gimmick to improve sales and you'll be comfortable sticking to some mid range processor.

Some of us aren't interested in mediocre 25W charging.
A flagship phone should come with flagships grade fast charging.
Chinese brands are exactly giving their customers what they want. No wonder Samsung is losing marketshare everywhere to these same chinese brands.

Shadocx, 13 Nov 2021It's really weird that the OnePlus Nord 2 explode when... moreA phone exploding has nothing to do with chipset or charging speed.
Was it proven that it exploded while fast charging?
So many phones from various top brands have exploded in the past, without even being plugged in to the charger, they never even had fast charging to begin with..

I really don't like extreme fast charging. I have a bad experience with my xiaomi as the battery degraded by 20% a year.

Unfortunately, battery life has been getting worse on flagships so maybe fast charging is becoming more useful to compensate for worse battery life
