Samsung officially starts rolling out One UI 4 with Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 family

After weeks of beta testing, the finalized version is now going out.

Received for 21 Ultra yesterday. Feels little bit slower than Android 11. Also very good feature to limit battery charge to 85% (But why not 80?!). I don't like that elastic feedback when top or bottom of the page is reached.

In another news, I could update many first party apps on android longer than 6 years after release. No iOS device could achieve that!

To make things even more ironic, the Note10 Lite is eligible for three major OS updates. So by right, both the S9 and S9+ should have no problem getting OS updates all the way up to Android 13 with OneUI 5.0. The Note10 Lite isn't enough to be a worthy S9 and S9+ replacement because it doesn't have Samsung DeX capability.

I'll be waiting for One UI 4.0 to arrive on the Galaxy S10 series, especially the S10e. They are still capable smartphones to this day.

There are so many same M series phones with same Exynos 9611 and same screen , ram rom , but some recived their last Android 11 update but some launched with Android 11 pre-installed.

I also hate that white-space approach. It is utterly garbage and makes so many services and apps kind of useless since you don't see much information anymore.

I absolutely dislike the new widgets of the pre-installed Samsung Calendar app (which I have been using for a long time, and liked so far). After the update to One UI 4, a lot of space is wasted in the Calendar widget I use (upcoming appointment list for next 2 weeks). Appointments were previously efficiently and completely displayed in a compact, yet easy-to-read manner. After the update, so much white space was added that even the shortest appointment names get a line break, and far less upcoming appointments are shown. I absolutely do not like!

In addition, s9/s9+ got OS update for an additonal 8 months with One UI2.5. there is no 2018 phone on the market that received that much update. samsung extended that promise to 3 years by 2019. with additional 2 years of security updates, that is the longest software support in android ecosystem you can get right now.
