Would love to see one of the large Indian Corporations start making their own phones. Jio Reliance does, but I am guessing the design is not terribly innovative or original, and most likely a polished white label. Maybe if Tata, Reliance or Mahindra (?) acquires a former Smartphone Brand, orncollaborates with one. Like a tie up with HTC or one if these guys buying the erstwhile LG's Smartphone division.
Since almost all components are available off the shelf (SoCs, Imaging Sensors, RAM, ROM, 5G Chip, Display, Lenses etc), it should be too hard.
Micromax pretended to do that, but, it's mostly been a con job, re-coloring quite labels (and also apparently, re-badging Huawei's entry level smartphones?).

Hello Life, 17 Nov 2021On one hand ..I am sad because Samsung genuinely makes awes... moreDon't stole things

On one hand ..I am sad because Samsung genuinely makes awesome Earphones.. I stole the Galaxy buds live for just 50USD during Big Billion Day sale... On another hand I am really happy that Indian brands like boat, titan are doing so good. People are getting conscious enough to avoid Chinese stuff
