Why is Motorola's custom ROM community so dead these days ?
They don't release kernel sources etc?

AnonD-1019084, 22 Nov 2021Yes but a 2mp depth sensor in a 'flagship' is laughableYeah, but it's not a proper flagship. Basically it's a budget flagship similar to the likes of the Xiaomi 11t (which is significantly more expensive at normal retail price) and the Realme gt.
The european price remember is 450 euro. At that price what are competitors offering for camera setups? Certainly nothing really any better camera hardware wise. Basically, 108mp hm2 or 68mp main camera and 8mp ultrawide without autofocus for nearly all of them. Anyway, you generally get what you pay for. This is the cheapest snapdragon 888 phone released in Europe to date (based on launch price) so it's not going to have all the bells and whistles. It launched at 200 euro less than Xiaomi's cheapest snapdragon 888 phone in Europe the mi11i so the pricing is definitely excellent.

AnonD-1019084, 21 Nov 2021No it doesn't it has an 8mp ultra wide with 2mp depth sensorYes, it does. It has a 13mp ultrawide with autofocus for sure. You're probably relying on specs on this website which are often wrong. For official specs check the manufacturers website which confirm a 13mp ultrawide

If only Motorola had a better update policy, even if only for security updates, then i would consider their phones, currently no way, no matter how good the offering is at the time of release that's a phone that is bound to be obsoleted too fast.

Moto can do much better. The best phones I think was Moto X series like the Moto x4 one of the best I had used it .with light weight good camera quality and with elegant color black. And the second best I think was Moto edge with good camera and sound quality... Refreshing rate of screen was 90ghz can get 120 on it.It might rock.

450 bucks looks pretty good for its specs because no other phone, no samsung, xiaomi, apple, sony etc have same or simmilar specs for 450.

In the end of the day, they don't care about the customer, environment or anything else unless it gives them more money.

Whackcar, 19 Nov 2021Because 3.5mm jack is an outdated technology that is no lon... more3.5mm jack is not outdated its just that companies found another way of improving their profits by removing the jack and selling you a wireless earphone that degrades and needs to be recharged.
Then if you just want to listen to music whole day but want to charge your phone midway you're screwed unless you buy a 2-in-1 audio + type c dongle which is another purchase.
It doesn't consume that much space also since the Zenfone 8 one of the more compact phones recently has an audio jack.
Another thing is that the current wireless earphones at the moment doesn't sound that great compared to wired ones that are cheaper.
