Heck even back around like 2012 possible before and after mediatek had advantages. Snapdragon and exynos would start off faster and throttled. Where as the mediatek soc kept going steady. I think gsm even linked it and spoke about it.

MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 could soon knock Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from the Android throne (20/12/2021).

First place : MediaTeks Dimensity 9000.

Second place : Qualcomms Snapdragon 8 Gen 11.

I am just talking about the reality of things - mtk custom rom support isn't good enough as things stand. also I never said it was impossible.

                    https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/redmi-note-8-pro-roms-kernels-recoveries-othe.9295/
                    Or this :

Making ROM on Mediatek's is possible.

But you can't force devs to work on devices even if it's possible!
There's still some "racism" about Mediatek...nearly no devs in Europe or US will work on Mediatek's
Indian devs are more open minded...
When you will find hundreds devs on Qualcomm's, you will find 4 or 5 on Mediatek's...making ROM takes time...especially when there's less people are working on it...that was the same with Redmi Note 8 Pro, we wait monthes to see the first Rom.

Your thought are biaised, you're too quick to find links to give reasons to maintain monopoly...too lazy to be curious, fully read the links you give and search a little more.
Typically European or US new generation : we want all, we want now, things must be easy, we don't want to make some efforts to have.
Older generation wasn't like that! Chinese or indian people aren't like that...weakness of consumers societies...the fall of western countries!
                    Note : I'm from Europe

I don't see any official custom roms for it, do you? (yes, someone has managed to install a gsi version of a rom but that is irrelevant because there are many roms that don't have that and you lose a lot of optimisations too)
