Random P, 23 Nov 2021me using Note 4 in 2021 be likewhoa that's cool, snapdragon 805 maybe perform as good as maybe Helio P22 or A22 (?) but a lot more inefficient 😆 but that's cool when seeing someone still using old phone

Now that LG is out of business, it's up to other brands like Samsung to continue the rollable screen development going. I can definitely see the rollable screen smartphone as a much more viable future than current foldable screen smartphones.

Can't wait for Galaxy Flip and fold, twist, bend, stretch and roll.

                      So they got:
                      - Samsung Z Fold, not Z Foldable
                      - Samsung Z Flip, not Z Flippable
So why bother trademarking Z Rollable? Wouldn't there be a uniformity to call it:
                      - Samsung Z Roll, not Z Rollable

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2021Looks aka LG patent. I've been a witness to no other display than the curved ones mastered by Samsung to perfection. I beleive these fancy displays are what lesser known manufacturers should steal and copy instead of UI and chipsets

S8 from 2017 is still going strong after all these years, and i can see it will going be fine in 2022/2023

AngryLithuanian, 22 Nov 2021Trolls in the comments are busy as usual lol You know you&... moreIt's amazing they even troll while in sleep mode 😄

Just as Wikipedia banned groups of trolls for posting fake information, some groups here too should be banned for fake bashing, for other smartphone manufacturers, who make sub standard products and hire cheap labour to spam all forums.

Most other companies making foldables are grossly overpriced, underwhelming or just not ready and fluid with its interface and UI. Samsung seems to be the only one truly nailing it. The LG Rollable was looking promising in design, but, most LG phones have lots of bugs and other issue. LG should have just sold the design and hardware frame to Samsung, and let Samsung 0ay an ode, apart from the money in return. And have a very beautifully designed rolling phone hit the market.

Smartphones are pretty much perfected. You can get an Android flagship released in 2017 and use it for 8+ years minimum if you can live with not always having certain apps to work. I could easily get another 5 years out of my Essential Phone and Pixel 3 if I really wanted to.

So I don't understand why people are bashing Samsung for trying to innovate and offer us different form factors? The area all OEMs should try to improve is battery life but it's something they don't want to greatly improve because it means we won't upgrade as often.

I like Samsung now. I was wrong about them before. They're the only ones really trying to innovate while cheap Chinese brands will just copy them and sell it at a lower price.

More """glass"""made, gimmicky, overpriced e-waste incoming. Friendly reminder that flexible oleds so far result in awkward aspect ratios with buggy and poorly optimed software and ultimately try to solve a problem that doesn't really exist.
