But some here think that clients design sensors and pay sony, samsung and omnivision to make them the same way Apple pays TSMC for their A chips.
Which is completely wrong.
Sensor makers develop the tech and showcase to clients hoping any of them becomes interested. There is no 3rd party manufacturing here.

Ok so this is the legendary RGBW sensor..
This thing also for the first time is supposed to have the algorithm written straight into the sensor hardware itself
To handle cross talk at a granular level
Seems like an interesting sensor indeed

So.. for the Pro: imx 766 main, 789 UW and the infamous 2MP macro shooter on the back and this 709 "catvision" sensor on the front... Better selfies in lowlight conditions or so?
