Man.. if this "new" SGII comes with LTE it would be the perfect phone for me. I love my SGII a lot and it's rooted as well (UnNamed ROM) so that's a plus, all it needs is LTE and I'll be a happy camper. I don't care for all these 1080p screens and IPS and all this PPI bullshit as it's just a phone and whatever the current SGII has is good enough. The shooter isn't bad at taking pics but the videos come out pretty nice. Anyway that's my rant and hopefully this upgraded SGII comes with LTE! :)

The ipad mini has ipad2 specs. They didn't make the ipad mini because they had extra ipad2 internal parts lying around. They did it to cut back into androids marketshares, as smaller size tablets seem to be doing well.

Hey! If Samsung can copy others, Apple can sure as hell do the same too. Make a small tablet ^___^

Is that why they recicle the spare parts of a current iPhone to make the next "S" version changing only some innards? [with the result being they launch a new model every 2 years manufacturing old hardware].

Shame on Samsung for doing this, but Apple does it as well.

Samsung too many spare parts lying around. Remake old phones or try to make it a new phone out of it.

Apple. not enough spare parts. Too many people buying their damn phones.

this dual sim phone will again be crap like galaxy s duos... 4.5" with wvga screen(480*800)... why cant they produce better dual core phones... i bet the processor will be overvlocked single core or a dual core 1 ghz on a very basic chip with low gpu... galaxy s2 plus seems to be good...

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2012This kind of phones wont receive future android updates.. D... moreSamsung has already evolved from it's past.
You can see my point here: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_announces_list_of_devices_that_will_get_jelly_bean-news-4853.php

You can see by the type of devices that are there that this phones are very likely to be supported.
Do not confuse todays Samsung with "past Samsung", which if you take a good look you will realize it's Sony.
They pull the old Sammy trips of dropping support for their phones in less than a year. They just resort to flooding the market with new phones (yap, that's how far behind they are in copying Samsung -- they are still on the "bad practices" part).

I'm not saying that Samsung has abandoned entirely the "flooding the market" part (specially for the mid to low end market), but at least they have started to get their act together in the top end of the market.

Sony shows us what would have happened in "old Samsung". -- They didn't even play ahead their flagship for 2012. It started to be Xperia S, then out of the blue came Xperia T. Even Xperia T has way to many other flavors gravitating around him.

Good luck getting good support in the future for the flagship Xperia S. Even the Android AOSP sidetracked and is now on the hands of Sony (not Google!).

Glad to see things have changed for Samsung. Their only competition is a copy of "old Samsung".
