Yes having same lenses on ultra wide and main camera is just what we need for indistinguishable pictures with different FOV.

Having said that... Oppo should have upgraded the main and ultrawide shooters.
Why not go with the imx 789 from oneplus? Or the gn1 on pixel 6 & vivo X70 Pro Plus?

However, with the massive price drop in second hand market after a year, you can definitely get a mint condition X2 Pro with around 2500-3000 CNY (390-470 USD) instead of the 6999 CNY (1100 USD) launch price. This makes X2 Pro a lot more tempting than X3 Pro, especially since X2 Pro has Snapdragon 865, X-axis linear vibration motor, periscope lens, better main camera sensor, newer Gorilla glass and DC dimming. All of those combined plus a lower price point makes X2 Pro a lot more worthy than X3 Pro now.

              80w? I pretty sure they said 125w releasing on all the oppo, realme and OnePlus phones.

                  The X2 Pro really got attention for Oppo as a brand by being innovative and genuinely competitive with the best. The X3 Pro they played it safe and it didn't sell nearly as well. Looks like the X4 Pro is on the same path sadly. A shame as I really though Oppo as a brand was about to take off.

                            X2 Pro was 1200 euros.
                            X3 Pro was 1100 euros by removing periscope.

                                      And OnePlus supposted to finally rock a Periscope too, they said they had big plans for camera upgrade, and finally Hasselblad hardware not just color balance, but yet... will use same crappy tiny, low MP sensor and not even able to use the zoom lens for video recordings instead cropping on the main sensor. On a flagship in 2022? what are they thinking.

                                      Oppo were one of the firsts to utilize Periscope zoom, went down hill with a downgrade for X3 Pro and X4 Pro probably going to have just mediocre 2X-3X zoom again.

                                      Even Pixel 6 Pro now have a superb zoom at 899$, which can match even S21 Ultras 10X, with 4X + Super Res Zoom.

                                      Feels like OnePlus and Oppo simply cheaping out and have no rush since Apple doing the same.
