Also, there is semicon issue caused by pandemic. It is obviously gonna cost even more than it would be in a normal year.
It is not the CPU that makes phones cost over $1000. That's all the rest of hardware.

Hopefully it's more efficient, cheaper and runs cooler than the SD888. I think the SD780, SD870 and Dimensity 1200 were better in that regard.

This new QC chip is actually pretty special, and quite a leap forward compared to past generations. If phone manufacturers actually use the tools that QC are offering, then 2022 could be a great year for phones.
