The amount of people that either have the technical acumen or interest in custom roms is minute. Plus, the redmi note 8 plus has a helio G90T and custom Roms have been built for that.

The shortage has no doubt benefited Mediatek, as now more phone manufacturers are including their closed source chips.

That's why a bought Moto G100.
I tried at least 5 or 6 phones with amoled screens and i just could not get used to them.
Menaged to keep Mi 11 lite 5g for about 2 weeks and had to sell it.
My eyes just don't like amoled, simple as that.
It is good to have a choice
