The best flagships and flagship killers to get for the Holiday season 2021

For iOS Users:
- iPhone 13 Mini
- iPhone 13 Pro
- iPhone 13 Max
.....all of these are great handsets, flagships, and differ by the physical size.
For Android Users, it's a lot more complicated.
It depends on factors like: your budget, screen size, headphone jack, waterproofing, processor speed, and other specific needs.
My shortlist recommendation would be:
Samsung A52s-5G (best value overall)
Samsung S21+ (luxury, Black Friday discounts)
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE version (Clearance sale!!)
OnePlus 9 Pro (great but very imperfect)
Pixel 6 (non-pro version)
Pixel 5a (cheap option for USA residents only)
Sony Xperia 1 mk 3 (best large phone)
Sony Xperia 5 mk 3 (best small phone)
Motorola G200 (new, decent value)
ASUS RoG Phone 5 (best speakers)
ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro (best selfie camera)
ASUS Zenfone 8 (best value compact)
Redmi Poco F3 (cheap option)
Xiaomi X3 Pro (very cheap)
Redmi Note 10 Pro (stupidly cheap, I wouldn't go lower)

Flagship killer = will trick you with the same CPU and GPU, but will fool you with bad quality display, bad resolution, low DPI, plastic materials, plastic back, outdated memory etc.
No thanks! I'd rather buy a 1-2 year old high-end flagship and it would still outperform the latest 'flagship killer'.

Don't get me wrong, the Mi 11 Ultra is not necessarily a gaming phone, but if you think the A15 Bionic doesn't throttle, you need to do more research.
The ROG Phone 5 outperforms any other device when it comes to sustained performance, including any iPhone.

The iPhone is one of the best smartphone on sale. People who complain probably have never seen it and tried an iPhone. Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is just overhyped thanks to power of marketing.
Front camera still locked at 1080p on Xiaomi while practically almost any other flagship does 4K, and the quality is not good either. Battery life on Xiaomi is horrendous thanks to MIUI, not the SD888 chipset. And also can get very hot because it doesn’t thermal throttle, only shuts down running apps.

MI 11 ultra ... moreI chose Mi 10t pro over iPhone 12 last year. The iPhone 12 was just a rebranded iPhone 11 with newer chip.
Apple doesn't command the same attention anymore.
They are busy playing catchup to Android. Their phones are utterly forgettable with nothing new to offer, same old boring design and interface, nothing innovative.
