I Beta Samsung Galaxy S4 will have this same specs:
Exynos 5 Quad chipset
3GB of RAM
16MP camera
5" display of 1080p resolution.
water and dust resistance
IR port.

Since I'm a huge fan of Samsung, the specs drive me crazy. Sure I'm gonna buy this Xperia when it's available. But then I would be a fan of Xperia, which paper specs will no longer be my main concern. Then I would have no reason to come back to Samsung, but it'll be okay. I wouldn't be terrified if Samsung or HTC or LG is releasing hi-spec phones, not anymore. I'm gonna live my life like I should, rather than bashing other's.

Has anyone in Sony even done any market research when deciding the spec of next flagship? 5" display? Hello? Has the designer even own a touch screen phone? 4.5" is max. End of the story.
Also, since when Sony is ahead of Samsung? That was before the touch screen phone game started. Sony is now playing catch up, and they better come up with something nice and practical to catch our attention.

AnonD-89174, 14 Dec 2012This is a monstrous phone if this will be released by Sony ... moredude... if u know about all benchmarks then u must be knowing that devices wid S4 n S4 pro have poor browsermark... much poor than tegra 3... also its gpu adreno 225 is not better than mali 400... 320 is a bit better... we dont even have a single gsm device running on A15 chip so u cant say whats better... sony dropped qualcomm coz of its poor benchmark as lots of ppl buy smartphones for browsing... exynos has way better browsermark than S4pro... the new mali 604 smokes adreno 325 n this sony flagship will have mali 658 along with exynos quad 5..

Beastly specs! Anyway 5" is too big for me... I don't have big hands, 4.3-4.6" is good for me. That said, I am still enjoying my Xperia Acro S here, Love Sony!

If these were still just phones, 5 inches is too much. However, so-called "phones" today are really pocket computers which come with increased processing power and more capabilities practically every month (calling and texting is now just one app of many). The more we can do, the longer we use them and the more we strain our eyes with small screens. Fortunately, mini-, micro-, nano- technology has also allowed us to make thinner and thinner phones, which allow us to increase the screen size without increasing the overall "grip" (width x thickness) of our gadgets. For instance, if you kept in your pocket a Nokia 2110 or Communicator in the 90's, a Galaxy S III or Note 2 takes more or less the same space in your hand or pocket today.

Sony (japan display) is producing its own 5" 1080p display - so its not logical that it would use another manufacturer's display - an oled one.
and i think that the quad a15 exinos would be used solely by samsung. definitely not sony. sony uses only qualcomm and st-micro!
and sony has a record of being late to the market with the chipsets and other tech. and sony said that it would release a competitor to s3 and iphone5 - not to s4 and iphone 5s...
so this rumor seems very unreal. it could only describe samsung galaxy s4 - not a sony device!

I like the 3GB RAM.
This need to be common now.
Especially with Android 5 on the way.
I hope its not as bloated as the rumours are saying.
And 5.1 fix doesn't take to long to appear afterwards.
Waiting for jellybean took far to long.
This will force the next HTC with the new Tegra4 to blow it away.

Fake or not Sony Ericsson was not good enough for others unless in price tag. Maybe is Sony better bat y doubt that. Samsung is on top now and there is no reason that it should be different in near future. But what the hack...some competition is always good isn't sooooo....peace to you too.

The only thing they are ahead with is the camera quality and thats it. 1080p screens already out as thus is the screen of choice by the looks of things for next year's flagship. Yes the memory is new both ram and Rom. If you didn't know Exynos is Samsung's chipset so surely other manufacturers are planning similar devices. And really would you not get a bit pi$$ed ofwith Sony bringing a new flagship every 6 months. After spending a lit of money on xperia S the several months later xperia T and now this. You would want a good job to pay for this. One every 12 months is enough not 3.

This is a monstrous phone if this will be released by Sony during the first half of 2013. Honestly, Exynos Quad 5 is good but do not underestimate the power of Qualcomm coz they still have the beastly S4 PRIME and it will leave Samsung's chipset dead. I saw a comment here where he said that Exynos is much powerful than Qualcomm? Ok, here's the real score, S4 Krait dual core is almost as powerful as Exynos Quad 4! Just like the case of Xperia T/Tx versus GS3! Now there's no way that Exynos 5 will be better than S4 coz they're both A15 architectures and i believe in the power of Qualcomm. Now, if S4 will be beaten by the Exynos 5 then S4 Prime is always there to the rescue! I think Sony will make a great comeback if this one goes live by 2013 but, when it comes to the design, HTC Butterfly is better and is the best in the market. It's screen will look much better than OLED coz Galaxy screens use OLED and they're not that gorgeous compared to the LCD3 of the Butterfly/ Droid DNA. ^^
