I guess i will really have to think about SD860 or SD870.

I was already interested in the Realme 8, but got a Poco X3 Pro instead. But after experiencing how bad and unstable miui 12 is right now, I'm considering giving Realme a chance, maybe with the Reame 9 depends If they implement features that interest me like high refresh display, 8gb of ram and a powerful mid-range or high end processor from Media Tek or Qualcomm, but mainly the price I don't waste more than 350€ on a Phone.

Im currently looking at Nord 2, because Dim1200 doesnt throttle that much. At least not as sn888. But for 400EUR and bit mediocre camera, useless monochrome and only 101 battery life..then i can take even more powerful soc in Xiaomi F3 and longer battery life and less money. Because gaming on Unreal Engine 4 and even not game for long periods of time, takes so much toll on phone. After 30 min this Samsung starts to heat up, throttle etc. Main reason for 400 eur i would also like decent camera. Around 115DXOmark with both cameras decent. If i could buy Realme GT Explorer master who supposedly brought Sony sensor to make better quality photography than Nord 2, i would buy it. But for me even tho some low price brands as you say, cut corners at wrong things.

I do game on console, usually don't waste the battery of the phone, but even in that case I would choose a chipset that would guarantee good performance and long battery life, like a Mediatek 800 or 900, not a Snap 8** that would drain my battery in no time.

You can have a great phone for 300/350 euro, like 1+ Nord CE, Oppo Reno5, Vivo V21 5G. Realme GT ME falls a bit short from them (but it's ok for the price). Hopefully that quality will reach the 250 euro segment in the future.

In your case it doesnt matter if you put in phone 108MP camera, 8gb of ram 512gb rom and for CPU Snapdragon series 4**? Ofc price wise you need to cut corners. Otherwise if u want best stuff buy a flagship. Those realme and xiaomi offers some premium stuff for low money.

I currently own Samsung note 10lite which has few years old flagship cpu Exy and phone is so hot and stuttering and games arent even using anti aliasing or high settings. And it drinks battery alot. Heats up alot too. Phone is 15m old. If u make 550 eur expensive gadget, then better be good in more than 80% of phone segments.

Lowest prices come at a cost, I prefer a very good and reliable midrange every 4 or more years.

I think the Realme 9 series will be great value after the disappointment of the 8/Pro. Four models to choose from and a departure from the SD720. The Realme 7 was great value and the time. With Gcam, it's an excellent all-round device.
