      Come onnnnn!

Really hoping this gets rapid carrier approval too - 7.8 doesn't bring us up to WP8 but the UI enhancements will really make a difference to me.

Tony D, 15 Dec 2012Please if someone can send me the installation process for ... moreI dunno whether its proper to mention here. Download Navifirm. Then select your firmware based on your model number, will find it the Sim holder. Download it to a folder of your choice. Download and install Nokia Care Suite. Copy the downloaded content to C:\Product Data\Nokia\Products\RM-801 (change this folder name as per Lumia 800/710/610/900 etc)

Then launch Nokia Care Suite and open the Product Support Tool.

Set to No Connection. as the SW needs to automatically detect the phone. Then select File->Open Product-->Select your product.

Go to Programming and select Refurbish. If the SW detected phone correctly then the START will be active and then click on it. 5-6 Minutes you have your WP7.8

If Refurbish is not working, then go for Recovery this will work. any doubt ask here I shall respond....

WP7 phones have similar hardware to WP8 phones and yet, you can only upgrade up to 7.8. They are forcing you to buy their newer crap. Wrong move for MS/Nokia.

Dont compare this to Gingerbread - ICS situation. Anroid 2.3 phones cannot be upgraded to ICS because of Hardware limitations (screen size/RAM/processor/etc..). This is not the case for WP phones since we all know that WP7 phones can easily run WP8 firmware and WP doesn't really require powerful hardware.
