No foldables from Apple.
I bet many people would buy iphone pocket or iphone book model even if it would cost 200-500 dollar premium.
Rumors say that Apple will be on foldable race very late and when that happens other oems have sold hundreds of millions devices and Apple just feels old.

Android devices have always provided great value and features, but man it's incredibly difficult to convince iphone users to switch to another brand. Kudos to Apple for creating such a cult following. Apple is the prime example of what the power of marketing can do: they are the only ones who are able to convince the end-user you're poor if you don't own the latest model.
iPads/iPad mini have a tough time against the Huawei MatePad 11... better hardware, more storage and a lot of features. Sure, Huawei doesn't have Procreate or Lumafusion, but by this logic the iPads don't have the Dolphin emulator or Poweramp, so unless you need to use specific apps the Huawei tablet will be probably what you're looking for. There's a very loud minority on the internet pushing iPads for the vast majority of the public.

I agree with ipad mini making a lot of money for apple. but the winner part, no way. I use 8 inch tablet to read, but for 600 euros. you can get a kindle paperwhite + xiaomi pad 5 for media consumption, and you still get some change for a 8 inch tablet for your kids. and all of that without jelly scroll and with 120hz display.
also most of the people dont use tablets for productivity, no one that I know, and I work for a big corporation. also none of my friends. anyway since youtubers always say about ipad os, google will have a os dedicated for tablets, and that+foldables will probably take over.
and stop saying apple is using because of processors, if you give a midrange SOC to most of the people will not be able to tell the difference. a snapdragon 778G is overkill for 99% of people.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2021Hate to say it as a lifelong Android fan, but Apple really ... moreIt is winning because of the node adventage and good CPU configuration, 2023 with Samsung 3GAP and TSMC N3 android should take the lead with the node and hopefully OEMs change the outdated CPU configuration to 1/5/2 or 2/4/2.

Hate to say it as a lifelong Android fan, but Apple really owned 2021. Largely because both A15 and M1 felt like 2022 chipsets already when they were released while Snapdragon 888 really felt more like a glorified overclocked SD865, and while Mediatek feels like they are somewhat entering the race, they are really not quite there yet with the big boys. And with the early test of Snadragon 8 Gen1, I think Androids will keep struggling even into early 2022 unless Mediatek or Exanos comes up with something to blow everyone out of waters.
Also, iPhones still sadly dominate the camera sections, especially the video taking ones. I had a lot of expectations for the Xperia Pro-I to dethrone the 13 Pro Max but it completely flopped. Would like to see e.g. Samsung to make some high budget camera-oriented phone to compete with the upcoming iPhone 14 tho.

It's just my opinion but strongly disagree with iPad mini being a winner. Have you seen the amount of complaints regarding the screen? My friend returned his and got for a bigger version as he was struggling with the bleeding too much.
