03 December 2021
Windows 11 users are getting the revamp first, but Windows 10 users are also in line.

Is this only for office 2021 and 365 or would I still get this if I have Windows Home and Student 2019?

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2021Office is a failed product, full with bugs, slow, too many ... moreTry the many alternatives out there and then understand why this "failure" is by far the most used Office suite in the world, despite being the most expensive option in the space. Maybe if you only write text you can get by with the alternatives, nevertheless Office is a lot more than just Word.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2021Office is a failed product, full with bugs, slow, too many ... moreOffice was when it was in its infancy as simple as Google Docs few decades ago, and that's exacly why Google Docs is far behind in market share than Office today.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2021Office is a failed product, full with bugs, slow, too many ... moreThat's weird that you point out Microsoft spying and suggest to use Google... At least Microsoft doesn't sell gathered information to third parties. And let's be honest: Office is superior than competitors in terms of usability. This software package is just an industry standard, that's it.

Office is a failed product, full with bugs, slow, too many hundreds of settings nobody knows, Microsoft spying on us with telemetry in Office which cannot be disabled, these days people use Google docs or Apple Pages, much better, simpler. That Office ribbon bar is also horrendous, unintuitive and hard to use.

My Excel on Windows 10 was updated couple of weeks ago, though with some visual bugs (for example, if you scroll the tabs with your mouse wheel, the underline of these tabs is not visible, but you can see it of you click the tab with LMB). Actually, I've received notification about the design refresh in early October, but actual changes came only couple of weeks ago, and only to Excel.

Yes. Got it 2 weeks ago, on Windows 10. I don't think they're prioritizing Win11 users.
              And yes, it's worse.
