I owned Xiaomi phone from the Mi series to Note to Redmi and I can tell you that you're bullshit. My previous Redmi 7 only gets 1 bloody OS update and about 1 and half years of security update.

Oppo would never lower its price, though I agree it's not beneficial to them since their market outside China is dwindling. The same as Vivo and its IQOO counterparts.

            Thanks, I still think Oppo's A series are better value than Xiaomi's offering. 1 + 3 is low, but at least both software and hardware are of high quality.

              -Oppo Find X series get 3 yrs Android & 4 yrs securit
              -Reno and F series get 2 yrs Android & 4 yrs security
              -A series get 1 yr Android* & 3 yrs security

              *Not all A series get Android update, only selected models. Meaning some A series may not get even 1 yr Android update

Meanwhile Xiaomi phones at even cheaper get 2 years major updates + up to 2 new MIUI versions on same android version.
                  Reno and premium phones are good with updates but don't even think about oppo A series.

Realme also needs to release snapdragon 750G/768G powered devices globally under 220-240USD.

Oppo needs to release one... moreI agree on what you have mentioned, Oppo /Vivo phones are over priced in terms of their specs. I guess that they really need to lower their price on their home market and just mark it up once it goes out, just to break even. And yes, X2 pro was just a value when it came up and I even predicted realme was going to be the one to bring the fight to Xiaomi, sadly in a true BBk fashion, it returned to its roots in selling recycled parts from previous models.

The Oppo k9s is 1,699rmb which is the second cheapest snapdragon 778 phone after Realme's Q3s at 1,599rmb. Xiaomi's only snapdragon 778 phone in China the Civi costs 2,599rmb for comparison
