Curious to know what the improvements in camera (photo and video are), compared to the last generation. The ever so slight improvements are getting disappointing now.
It's great that Sony and Snapdragon have decided to work together to improve imaging, though it seems to be almost detrimental to everyone else considering that Sony is the largest Image Sensor in the World, and Snapdragon was until recently the largest SoC maker (it's possible that not considering non-smartphone chips, Snapdragon is still larger than Microtek).

It is a good time for Samsung's Exynos Imaging Sensor Division, their Memory Division and Mediatek, to collaborate on Image Sensor and Imaging, to take on the Snapdragon-Sony collaboration. They have the advantage of a larger market, in-chief memory development, shared memory etc. This way, their memory could be much faster than more efficient than other imaging processors, and plus they have IP embedded with more complex memory chips, on SoCs.
