hello evryone...Nokia India has got the 7.8 update...i live in new delhi and i have got a call from nokia care to get the update..but it is available at nokia care centers only not on zune..so if u want then go to the nearest nokia care center and enjoy the whole new OS

The update is available in India, I have received a formal communication from Nokia advising me of the same. I wanted to post the email received however, due to GSMArena's spam stuff can't post it. Please plug your device and check.

From XDA: While an early leak might have hopefully suggested that Nokia were ready to offer an OS refresh to its first-generation Lumia owners, the company has now explained to Tweakers that those early glimpses of Windows Phone 7.8 were for pre-production models and, presumably, all part of the software testing process. We've stopped clicking the update button, (reluctantly) unplugged our Lumia 800 and are waiting on that Q1 refresh. However, if you're willing to tinker with your Windows Phone's inner workings for the taste of a new OS, there are ways.

I did flashed my L800 with Indian Variant (059L975) all is well, except for those missing features (ABC123 password, Child lock) I've experienced very rare random reboot. Philippines

RON RON, 18 Dec 2012no in the philippines...i want it so bad please make it in ... moreHey, if you want you may flash your device with Indian Variant (Product Code: 059L975) I already flashed my L800 since Friday and all is well, but some features was missing (ABC123 Password combination, Child Lock) don't worry about flashing as per Nokia Care it will not void the warranty.

Dear Nokia and Gsmarena,
Finally Igot a window 7.8 update (INDIA) from last 6months.
Its amazing and beautyfull display resize live tiles, and bluethot shairing, its real good update for lumia users.

If there is no update in US, UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, France, Romania, Lithuania, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Egipt, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Finland...the question is: who gets the update since now????/ The martians and the klingonians????
