The b&o a1 even better than both of those, but much more expensive. Also expensive but the loudest might be the minirigs. Or just take the anker soundcore boost, might be a bit bigger but you can adjust bass with the soundcore app EQ. If you really want more bass, the bigger the better, just physics (as long as the drivers and enclosure design is of good quality, of course). Then some are tuned for lower bass (doss soundbox xl, anker soundcore motion boom, mifa wildbox, hk onyx studio, newer jbl boombox), and sound bigger as they look, while others might seem stronger due to a more boosted upper bass (usually the UE speakers or w-king, and so on) Just compare a bit on youtube at alain ross reviews or oluvs gadgets.

Currently, I own JBL Go 3 and Oontz Angle 3 but I want more bass. I was considering the Bose SoundLink Micro but it has a lot of disadvantages like its expensive price, old Bluetooth 4.2, and slow micro USB charging.

I haven't see... moreYou're right regarding the HTC and the Xperias, they were the first to deliver quite clear front facing stereo audio on a phone, the Xperias sound quite balanced, even tho the compacts lacked a bit of bass. Regarding the iphones yeah but some want you to suggest as if they were.
But no matter which phone, the difference is night and day if you compare it with even only a 35$ bluetooth speaker like the sl1000s or some anker or tribit speakers. That being said, depends on what you define as lower end and portable. A $20 ultra portable speaker isn't worth it, apart of the xiaomi Mi speakers maybe.

They just add fake detail with oversharpening and overdo it with hdr stacking that it looks too flat like some screenshot of a 3d game. And if you look upclose in the photo comparison tool you will notice, that it drowns really every detail by adding too much contrast to edges and lines, compared to many 64mp shooters. If you compare the lowlight capabilities they especially begin to suck big time, can't you notice all that image noise? And the grass in night scenes is getting smeared much more than on the android flagships. Sensor and lense wise iphones can't really compete with S21U or Mi 11 Ultra or even a Realme 7 pro. But idk what computational fakery the average smartphone-photographer is used to nowadays... You can add colour or sharpening to every picture, but you can't remove it once it's trashed by an overly aggressive computational output.

I never owned a single Apple product btw.
