    I'd rather buy a 1, 2 year old high-end flagship than any new mid-range phone. It will perform better and it will last longer, have better software support and resale value (though I never sell my old phones).
    Flagship killers seem good on paper, but in reality that brand cut a LOT of corners that is not mentioning, like: plastic backs, gorilla glass not even mentioned, plastic frame instead of aluminum or stainless steel, cheap, low resolution, low DPI displays. Basically, the parts that matter the most.
    And for what? To have 20% better CPU/GPU that overheats because the phone wasn't designed as well as a high-end product? No thanks!
    Flagship killers are a joke and they only seem good if you compare them to the low-end phones.
    Don't get fooled by the price!

Obviously some little things are better in flagships, but the ratio of price/performance/features should be so good that it's more logical to go for a flagship killer than a real flagship.

        The way this guide is split in 2 price categories is a step in the right direction. Now extend the format to include everything else. Best phones per price point is what matters. Pick 4-5 price points and select best 2-3 phones for each.

        Then give special awards for best battery life, camera and whatever else necessary.

        Flagship and flagship killer categories mean absolutely nothing.
