Nokia T20 review

13 December 2021
A budget-councious tablet aimed at small children, as well as kids and teens going to school, but is it any good?

AnonD-1046991, 08 Jul 2022Decent tablet but It's a shame, a weak chipsetIt's not a weak chipset, a great choice for what it is (for a tablet that doesn't go to e-waste in a couple of years and fits the purpose perfectly) and Unisocs don't heat much with aluminum bodies. In fact they're quite underrated and over hated for fabricated reasons

I'm in two minds about this purchase I just made recently. There is no glue holding the screen in, and when you lie in bed, gravity starts to pull the screen out. But, here's the thing, I had a great Sony Z4 tablet and it was great until the battery died, and the glass is a hell of a job to get off if you want to replace it. At least with the Nokia, I will be able to easily replace the battery when the time comes.

Mmm, yet phones without fail have the right streaming credentials for FHD - Interesting. Also, tablets are great when you're away from home - perfect for downloading photos taken that day to review and edit on a bigger screen, perfect for (you guessed it!) catching up on some entertainment, that movie you always had been meaning to see, that series you'd always been meaning to start. Don't know why your social circle is so ascetically minded, but it's not a flamboyant luxury, nor a curious redundant frippery, to be able to stream and download FHD content onto your device lol.

They should have used Unisog T618 and faster charger.

I have the tablet for a month now, brought at little over 200 euro (4gb Ram-64gb storage wifi only). My last tablet was the first galaxy note tab from 2012 which died a few years ago.
This tablet was brought for watching Netflix/HBo Go/Ytube at night in bed or when on trips and also for browsing the web so no gaming in mind. For this purpose the tablet is great.
              Pros:
              - stock android makes it very fluid and for basic tasks it's speedier than my MI9SE
              - battery is big enough and would last me more than 12h sot (4h of Netflix at night with 10% brightness used 5% battery)
              - built quality is excellent, feels like it can cope with an occasional drop
              - certified screen for low blue light
              - kid space from google
              - adequate sound output
              - promised updates (2y Android and 3y security) which makes me believe it will last for at least 4-5y which for 200eu is great.
              Cons:
              - camera performance is on par with 2012 phones
              - slow charging
              - no haptic feedback
              - questionable soc for longevity (this needs to be seen)
              - slow soc which is evident when updating, setting up tablet
              - fingerprint magnet even if I have dry skin
              - not the best viewing angles with low brightness

Conclusion: I recommend this tablet for content viewing/browsing/shopping and occasional light gaming and for it's sturdiness and promised UI support at the 200-250 EU price. Above this price the tablet is not worth it, also for power users it should be avoided. Expect what you payed for and consider it is just a budget offering (good for what I described above).

Alex 94, 13 Dec 2021Ipad 10.2, 2021 is 330$-370€, so....and this is way cheaper! those are probably 50% more expensive than this!
I agree that the base ipad is the best apple product to buy in terms of vfm (I have 2 in my family with 2 apple pencils, lol), but some people dont need/want (or cant afford) that too, so for a budget tablet, its actually pretty good as it doesnt come with any bloat and even a low end chip is able to perform decently for most everyday (family/school) tasks.
Not to mention the really good build/design/finish and decent base storage of 64GB (+ expandable storage) which the ipad still doesnt for some reason in 2021

[deleted post]I think that's enough for device like this. Mention about price for different versions and availability should be added to.

Why should a company simply buy that wideshit certification. It was not there before dinner years right. Technology should serve the mankind but it's going the reverse way.

That's an awful oversight in a review of what will be for most people, a media consumption device. What's the point of that size of screen and resolution, when nearly all your mainstream content can only play at 480p? It's a fail for Nokia, and a fail for GSMa for not mentioning it.

Ehm🙋 question.... What kinda chipset is Tiger T-whatever? Aint there other predators in the zoo like Lion L60 or even kick ass Kangaroo K900? I think the Mi Pad will be better for me.. HARD Pass!
