    Anonymous, 15 Dec 2021Something is definitely wrong in either leaksA710 is small upgrade from cortex A78, Arm anounced 10% upgrade, so it wont be huge upgrade over current midrange, in some implementations it may even be worse than Cortex A78.

    Earlier leak 1200 had 753 single core and this leak 690, so no suprise if it has cortex A710 or cortex A78, But cortex A76 is around 500 in geekbench so no way exynos 1200 has cortex A76, unless they clock it higher like 2.8 or 3Ghz to get that single core perfomance.

        A52S 5G (Snapdragon 778G): 771 / 2801 (single-core /multi-core)
        Alleged A53 5G (Exynos 1200): 690 / 1846
        Massive downgrade

          Better to grab A52s 5g than to get exynos chipset again

                              Thats a decent upgrade over the snapdragon 720g on the a52(4g) however the a53s might show up in H2(2022) with better processor than the 778g

                                So according to this "leak" it's running 2x A76 and 6x A55.
                                That's a straight downgrade from the 4x A78 and 4x A55 we have on the A52-S.
                                Also it would be using Mali gpu and NOT using an AMD RDNA one, since this is a mid-range offering. Even still, AMDs GPU for Mobile is untested, and might not be good. And knowing the GPU performance of chips like the QSD 720, which is quite weak, this new Exynos will have a similar GPU hardware.

                                What we know is that the QSD 778, is actually using a Flagship GPU, and Snapdragon drivers are fairly well optimised. This one won't be optimised, like previous Exynos chipsets/drivers. Although one advantage Exynos chipsets have is that they're better than Snapdragon chipsets, only through optimisation, when it comes to Samsung's own Stock Web Browser. That's it. But most people are better off getting a Snapdragon version of a Samsung phone, and instead use a different browser like Firefox or Brave.

                                But performance isn't everything.
                                ....what? They're also removing the Headphone Jack!!!
                                Avoid, do not buy. Get the A52-S or go with a competitor, or maybe even an ex-flagship from the Used Market.
