AnonD-994853, 16 Dec 2021I don't mind mediatek. But is it true that Mediatek
1... moreGCam support is there on my D1200 phone, but yeah not as many working versions as QC-SD.
Same come to OS/custom ROM support, not as many versions except some popular devices like Note8Pro, etc

Noirjer, 16 Dec 2021Yes I strongly agree but that is in raw power/performance a... moreU might wanna have a look at the AI benchmarks for D9000 now, not sure about the ISP though.
But remember that all doesnt depend on ISP, but on OEM's optimisations as well (case in point Pixel4a !)

Anonymous, 16 Dec 2021So was suppose to be Snapdragon 8 Gen 1... And Dimensity 10... moreA12 doesn't perform any better.
Even the a15 thermal throttling joke is only powerful on paper.
Running handicapped mess of an OS called ios, it will never match a Snapdragon or Mediatek Dimensity powered android device.
Snapdragon 865 outperforms a15 simply because it is not paired with trashy cooling like on Apple

[deleted post]You think samsung would use D9000 for S22 instead own chip? LoL ...
Htc is not going back to flagships. Just midranges and ODM low ends (wildfire).

MagicMonkeyBoy, 16 Dec 2021It would be a very big mistake to underestimate this SoC...... moreYes I strongly agree but that is in raw power/performance and efficiency, but about AI and ISP is different story. Mediatek powered phones never known for its camera prowess, they usually known for budget friendly. I mean there are plenty dimensity 1200 powered phones out there that have decent camera output but it never came close of that flagships and high-end phones.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 16 Dec 2021It would be a very big mistake to underestimate this SoC...... moreSo was suppose to be Snapdragon 8 Gen 1... And Dimensity 1000 for A-Series Bionic chipset at the time... Maybe in GPU department and even there it's questionable. The fact A12 still performs better today than some flagships with newer chipsets is telling. It's a 3 generations old chipset from 2018...
