I stopped purchasing sony phones after my last xperia xz was absolute dogshit. Heats up every now and then. Can't even record a 5 minutes video without getting kicked out of the camera app. Tried to stay even after the shitty z series. Not to mention the garbage software support for their flagships. Build quality isn't going to make up for the shit experience.

While I still like the Pro-I appeal a lot, the normal Mk3 1 or 5 is still good enough for me. Even last year's Mk2 1 or 5 is still a worthy buy to this day.

Even my old Xperia XZ is still in good shape and never have any problem at all. The only thing I did with it was change the battery, and that's it. Even the water-resistance still works to this day.
