        Surface Go 2 if you want a FOSS operating system. Linux and OpenBSD work out of the box, although you might want to keep a small Windows partition for firmware updates. The (sold separate) keyboard is detected as a traditional USB keyboard device. When all you need is a terminal with tmux and occasional email access, there's nothing better.

          And what about 7 inch tablets, we don't all need/want big, pricey tablets, but still need sensible specs and good performance, I could do with 3 separate tablets at work, but firm is run by apple based office poseur's, won't spring the budget for us mugs with dirty hands and muddy boots who actually earn the firms money to even have one ipad, andriod only for us gruggy lot, and preferably pocketable.
          Having things like screen recorders running when working out application and dilution rates for chemical application is useful.
          As is GPS etc tracking and mapping when mowing 25-75 MILES DAILY of grass mowing, very useful for machine hours/miles, clients can check their sites/us remotely.
          And as a right out in the sticks lone worker, 3 or 4 separate devices on different networks etc makes you feel much safer.

            All iPads should be here. The Sammy Tab SE is a big joke. Lenovo with SD860 deserves more than that and realme Pad

                Why is the Tab S7 FE here, and not the Tab S7? The Tab S7 is better in most categories. Same thing with the Tab P12 Pro; why isn't it here?

                  7 SE would be perfect to me if it had IPS or PLS, 10" screen and jack.

                    iPad Pro if you want to spend a lot, iPad mini if you dont
