another model with crazy 2009 huge bezels, i wish they would redesign the screen to be bigger, yes the watches are sturdy and chunky, but there is no reason that they need so much bulk and such a small screen in 2022

Mr. Anonymous, 19 Dec 2021Does anyone know if Garmin has a model that supports phone ... moreDepends of your definition of "smartwatch".
Majority of these kind of watches are actually fullscreen fitness band/gps watch labelled as "smartwatch". The true smartwatch has their own specific chip which allows you to make/answer phone call, install standalone app , play music, read/reply text notification, etc. Just imagine a smartphone but in physical form of a watch. That also explains why the true smartwatch has only 1-2 days battery life as same as a smartphone.

. Ask a special ops, or Navy seal, commandos...what watches do they have.
100% they'll tell you: Fenix 5x, 6x pro solar powered, 6x tactical Garmin, no toys allowed there

Anonymous, 19 Dec 2021Garmin is on par with Apple in terms of sensor accuracy, fa... moreAgreed. I bought a used refurbished Fenix 3 off eBay. It is THE best smart watch I have ever owned, and it’s a 5 year old model. Robust, reliable, screen is easy to see in daylight, very easy to navigate. I has the superb Samsung Gear 3 with rotating dial before, and although the screen is colourful and the dial great to use, nothing like as stable and reliable as the Fenix. No touch screen is not a problem. It just works.

Neverready, 19 Dec 2021Apple won't let anyone borrow anything and they suckBS. They all have their own algorithms and in some cases, sensors. Apple is simply very good at it, and Garmin is up there as well, especially since they acquired Firstbeat. Fitbit is probably the best at sleep tracking, although Apple is matching it this year.
The rest, including Samsung, are way behind on accuracy, especially.
