If that's what it looks like then I'm sold.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2021The companies don't care about anyone, they don't... moreRemoval of the 3.5mm Jack and sd card create space for more battery capacity. It's a compromise. Then again before a design is effected, it goes through very many stages of approval. It's basically not a one man's show.

Looks similar to a lot of Sony phones of the past, so yeah it looks slightly better than average and in no way offensive. Mission complete if you want to sell a lot of units imo.

Mickey , 23 Dec 2021So, no Note in 2022? I think they are going to launch S22 Ultra as look as Note 22. But it looks they are not giving the name Note to this phone. & S22 Ultra also has a Spen that is most likeable option for Note lovers.

Mickey , 23 Dec 2021So, no Note in 2022? This is the note, they just are getting rid of the name. Is this so important? I find nice that it's one phone less in this Samsung mess. Ultra now means "it has everything", including the pen. I hope they also add the pen to the foldable ones later next year.

No matter, 23 Dec 2021Definately not considering S22Ultra. Too sharp at corners, ... morePersonally I like the design and the main reason I wanted a phone from the Note line (well now it's part of the S series) is that they have sharp corners! With the rounded corners their is a significant image loss for me. That's why I'm still using my S7 (Exynos 32GB Single-SIM)! Sadly 32GB aren't enough anymore (I have a microSD card on but I don't put apps on it because it needs to be encrypted, my main reason that I have the microSD is for a back-up, if the device breaks in any way the card becomes useless and the data is gone!), the battery is almost dead and the performance is on about par with the A50S that my brother has and it can't run the latest games and apps smoothly.
*When I got the device, it was already over 1 year old, I was waiting for the S8 but I didn't like the edge screen and rounded corners and went with the S7, it was the last in the store and that's why I have the 32GB variant instead of the 64GB that I wanted!
**The Sony Xperia 5 III seems perfect for me but I will wait for Sony Xperia 5 IV because I want my next phone to have an Armv9 SoC.
***The Motorola Edge X30 seems really good for it's price but no microSD and headphone jack. The old Motorola phones that my family had, they where good but after the Lenovo acquisition I think their devices degraded in quality, the G6 Play that I have as a work phone, it's terrible (mostly from the software side which is a mess)! So I don't know if I want a new Motorola phone.
****The S22 Ultra/Note may not have microSD and headphone jack but I'm kinda tied to the Samsung ecosystem so that's the main reason that makes me want to stay with Samsung.

Looks not good, bad move from Samsung. This is like a LG Velvet.
                I don't like it.

I like the square shape of the S22 Ultra as a Note fan. I think they are really doing away with the Ultras and renaming the Note and changing its release date. Then using the S-series and Fold series as their 2 different release dates now.

This is beautiful, I am so glad that they fixed the camera bump; this could be my new favourite phone ever

LOL, 23 Dec 2021There are too few 'no SD card and no headphone jack = ... moreIt's not like I'm complaining or giving the impression the people needing SD and Headphone j. are the majority.
I am just stating: ultra is too big, S22 lacks features that I appreciate. They're also not even a deal breaker to me.

Wish or would-like-to-have is not complaining or making a big thing out of it.
My would-like-to-have will never exist, but that does not free other phones of not having them as reasons to be imperfect to me.
S21 and Zenfone 8 are my most appreciated phones of the year

No matter, 23 Dec 2021Definately not considering S22Ultra. Too sharp at corners, ... moreThe problem with Sony is you have to be sure about network comparability. What this means is if volte and wifi calling work. Also some carriers block out grey imports from accessing 5G network. Do your research properly on Sony phones

                              S22 Ultra Have 18GB RAM/1TB Storage Someone like galaxy S10+ 12GB/1TB

maybe ... in the future ... they remove the screen and camera as well and start selling glasses or cyber implant in the human brain and industries market them as new trends ... more volumes and frequencies for new gadgets ... more rubbish that toxic the earth ... where are their brain ???

Definately not considering S22Ultra. Too sharp at corners, too bulky, too ugly. S22 or S22+ maybe, depends on camera setup. If its the same from S21 I'm going Sony.

Seems like those of use who daily use the headphone jack, expandable storage and a stylus are too few for any company to build a phone for us.

Still using my Note9 because of this. Would prefer a flat display tho.
