I'm not into this device but I do like seeing more competitors in the foldable clamshell segment. So kudos to Huawei for entering it. Competition is a good thing. Drives innovation and drives prices down.

Michael Fisher has used foldables exclusively for nearly 2 years. January 1, 2020 is when he started using them exclusively. He believes in this segment. I do too but I believe the book form factor will win out. Clamshells will cater for people who prefer portability and who buy smaller phones like the iPhone 13 mini.

      Overpriced for what is essentially a discardable phone with make believe meme technology that solves no real world problem.

        This price for what you get doesn't make real sense.

          If ultra spectrum means full spectrum and can be used as IR camera (what OnePlus disabled), this, my next camera phone.
          Also obviously my wish came through because no IR (and UV) filter means 150% more light, great space photography,...wow

            That is only for huawei because of the ban.

            Phone that is sold somewhere huge with 5G coverage, but no 5G.

That... morespoken like somebody who knows nothing, The Z flip 3 is samsungs BEST SELLING smartphone of Q3 and is ahead by some margin compared to the Fold, yes price probably has something to do with it, but come on, there is no such thing as a niche product, its a foldable with 2021 internals, demand for a smaller phone form factor is an absolute, and given how the foldable tech has pretty much matured now its all about refinements and improving the internals while keeping the costs bordering candybar phones, the flip 3 also represents a 215% sales increase Quarter on Quarter, and a 480% year on year, demand ABSOLUTELY is there for these product

                Lim Reviews showed a white model of this and it's actually pretty nice. I still hate the circular cover display. Just get the book type foldables to prevent from opening it up all the time. It's why the Oppo Find N makes the most sense.

                The Flip 3's cover display is inferior to the Razr's but it's still better than this P50 Pocket. I did read about how One UI 4 is preventing us to use the SamSprung app. I guess Samsung is aware of this and is closing its use for One UI 4.

                I guess I'll never update my Flip 3 then. Was playing Tekken 5 for PS2 from my cover display yesterday. Unlock it by using Bixby to keep your security. Software updates usually ruin everything for me. Why I don't care for iPhone's 5-year updates. Updates will trash my battery life.

                      Just get a $999 Flip 3 or $499 Razr 5G like I did. That's only $100 more if you get them both than the base model for this phone. I love my set-up playing GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Dreamcast on my Flip 3 and watching movies on my Razr 5G's cover display and using maps. I'm more interested in the Oppo Find N or as Ben Sin said is the GOAT foldable.

                      As much as I love foldable flip phones, they will never take off and too niche. This isn't the 00s any more. They're more pocketable but people's tastes are changing. The book form factor is what more people want but the high prices is turning them off. Too many sacrifices with a clamshell like worse cameras and smallest batteries.
