sad about this. was hoping they would make a "mini" or compact phone.
180grams is heavy & vertical height is too big.
Samsung S10e is still the perfect compact phone just missing the customization of MIUI

It seems to match the specs that that one was supposed to have. Now that Sony can't supply Huawei with custom sensors they may be supplying it to Xiaomi instead.

We cant be primitive forever, we have to evolve. Idk about you, but having living wirelessly, makes life even better.

If they aren't going to provide an mSD card, the least they can do is have a 512GB option. More useful than 12GB RAM. Was looking at buying the 11 Lite NE. But 69mm width and a small screen is something I'd very much like. However, if 256GB is the maximum storage option, I am skipping this.
And before proponents of cloud drive and 'this space is enough' come along, I keep my phones for 4-5 years. I have a lot of data, documents, images that I organise into folders and keep readily available to share. Using a good chunk of my 256GB card. If 256GB is the only space available for data, media and system files and updates, I may run out of space by my third or fourth year after 3 updates. I have worked 4 years with a $120 64GB phone and a 256 card storage. And card storage is something you can transfer to your new phone.
I really don't see the point of eliminating it. Not only phones, even laptops are eliminating the card slot, when they very much have the room for a 4G/5G mobile broadband SIM.

(sigh) finally a smaller phone. I am stuck with my Mi 9 SE all these years. 6.28" if given with thinner bezels, would be a plus. Been looking for a xiaomi phone which is relatively similar to 9 se but failed. This might be my first ever flagship phone from xiaomi, if leaks says it otherwise.

The sensor seems to be NOT the GN2. Neither GN1 or GN5 fits that description. Also, NOT IMX766 since that's 1.0µm. Seems to be a new one.
The 10.7 thing is 10 bit, and the 3rd sensor has OIS.

If it can already cost $580 in Mainland China, it's pretty possible that this could cost $699 outside China when counting in tax and shipping cost as well.

Besides many features will only be on wireless headphones (Like ANC which is only on Wireless headphones)
Also you only need SD cards for professional photography (Taking pictures for a living), Heavy Gaming and Making Videos. Anyone who complains about having no Headphone jack is using alot of gb.
If you want a Headphone jack or SD card slot, go for a entry level or mid range phone because those are the only phones that include them atm

Looks like Xiaomi has another winner on their hands. The Xiaomi 12 looks like the perfect combination of size, specs and price. I'm tempted to pick one up but I'll miss the headphone jack.
