What is the point in the end? Although the hardware is there, the software does not enable its use. Even basic high refresh rate is not enabled for games in the software. HDR content from Netflix/Amazon does not play in spite of the hardware being capable. The list goes on.

Why don't they make display like PC and laptops?

One that refreshes continuously from 1-120hz and not in steps like 1,10,24,48,60,90,120 etc.,

Could be very useful in gaming with proper VRR

If samsung liked the way a competitor calibrated their screen, they could easily buy a unit off shelf and tell their engineers and display unit to replicate it, since they make it in first place

When will this ridiculously trend of using narrow and tall displays be over? The success on oppo's new foldable should open the eyes of other manufacturers. We need more flagship options with smallers aspect ratios (between 18:9 and 19:9)

Almost always it's a Samsung display BUT the question is the calibration of that display. Colors gamut and accuracy, white balance, deltas etc should be properly calibrated and that's where is the big difference to €1000 plus phones
