Samsung Galaxy S10 series is receiving Android 12-based One UI 4 stable update

It comes with the December 2021 Android security patch.

Android 12 on what possibly is the great... moreMy S10 is still going strong and there is nothing on the market that makes me want to change it - I played a game with myself to see if I could justify upgrading to another Samsung or even an iPhone 12/13 Mini - the only justification I could find was the Size of the 12/13 Mini's.

In terms of an "upgrade", I might get the battery replaced by Samsung for £50 and that'll see the handset out for another few years.

I know the Low Light Camera quality isn't the best on the S10, but it does everything else so incredibly well - it's kept up with the times well.

Azeter, 29 Dec 2021Why cant they have a global update like iPhone instead of ... moreAn alternative way to look at this method is that at least if they release by country or continents etc., bugs can be found before they seed elsewhere I.e Germany could see some serious issues and the roll out pauses.

If you roll out globally, everyone is stuffed at once. I'll take a phased roll out thanks!

I remember when I decided to go with OnePlus 7T vs S10. Could not even imagine how it will end. Samsung is on fire, going for S22 this year.

In terms of security updates oneplus 7 pro will still get one extra year of security updates..(infact oneplus 8+ devices will get 4 extra major updates, whereas samsung promises 3 extra) but sadly the oxygen os12 is not only slower delivered.. but with full of bugs and the UI is hell bent on ruining itself..

Imagine going back in time when the S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro came out and telling people the S10 would get updates longer and faster

Samsung delivered they promise from when s10 launched for 3 major updates from 9 to 12
Previous gens like s9 stuck on android 8 to 10

remember its android , different country's firmware has optimization( carrier aggregation volte,vowifi,rcs) for carriers unlike iphone works in others country . we can still dream google fixes android specially bluetooh codec AAC.

This is really impressive. Samsung has definitely stepped up their game when it comes to software updates. As far as I know, they are only second to Google right now.

So, Samsung managed to update all their S21, S20 and S10 series before we even see 2022.
This is one of the reasons, they are my top Android brand.
(I didn't even mention the Note, Fold and Flip.)

Saw the news about S20 series getting the upgrade just a few minutes before and was thinking if I received wrong update in my S10.
Samsung is giving new year gifts to their customers it seems.
