          on the other hand, Honda, VW, Ford, even asus,are 50% local partnership venture companies, hence they name differs example Honda is Honda Dengfeng or Ford China, they don't need to charge 20% import tax. it's why mainland people come to Hong Kong or Macau to buy apple products, cosmetics, milk powder, playstation 5s, levis, addidas as it's 20% cheaper than mainland, the premium badge and 20% tax adds the desire to these productss

There are more Honda accords on the street than BMW's but a Honda will never be a status symbol. Huawei, Xiaomi and Samsung's sales are driven by entry and midrange phones. When it comes to expensive high end phone sales no one comes within 10 miles of Apple.

            We've already seen pic's of the CEO of Huawei carrying a iphone and ipad while he was traveling. Also, when his daughter was arrested in Canada, she was carrying a iphone, macbook and ipad. These companies push hardware but the challenge they have is figuring out how to push their brand beyond its current boundaries.
