Actually, that's the issue, the vast majority of flagships (basically all except for Sony) have curved edge display, and for those who like curved edge display but aren't into flagships it is a rarity in the middle range segment.
You don't have to buy a Ferrari or a Bentley to have a car with great audio or driving aids or stuff like that, there isn't such thing as a "premium only feature", diversity and choice is dead on the Smartphone market...

gestures are the new standard and curved display makes the experience much much natural and pleasant.
using gestures on a flat display with screen protector scraping the fingertips constantly and with a rised lip from the case? hell no.
technology is bade with people who care about their devices in mind. not those who are treating their phones like a 20 dollar Gameboy.

But since early 2021, there was rumor the "plus" version of the 2022 would be tsmc.
So, must be just same chip with 0.2GHz more (not enough to gain anything) for core X2.

They e hot the marketing on the head with the image of water cascading off the side of the screen but who in their right mind wants that? Text and images wrapping round your screen? I don't get it. I truly don't get it. I'm all for technology innovations bit just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Silly Samsung and their S6 started all that nonsense. Consumers aren't all that bothered about bezels. Yes they narrower the better but give me a flat screen and a bezel any day. At least I can get cases and screen protectors that actually fit and get the benefit of ALL the screen, not have 10% wrap round so I can't see it.
